GAMEPLAY

DESCRIPTION

Poueii is a 3D farming simulation game which the player controls a robot that has the main task to take care of a space island after its home planet has been exploded mysteriously.

In the game, the player can take care of a farm on the island to feed nearby space stations that are populated by survivors of the explosion. By planting, harvesting and delivering the products, the player acquires money and experience.

Poueii was one of my first projects and it is the main project delivered for the last semester of my college course in Digital Games Technology. I made the game along with 2willian2 (He made the 3D Models).

I was the main programmer of the game, creating the core mechanic of planting, missions, deliveries and day and night cycles. I've took part into the Game Design Document along with 2willian2, making many iterations according with the feedback we got for the game.

For the last version I was also tasked in creating the Tutorial and the game progressions, however, due to technical problems on the game's development (such as insane loading times), and the impossibility of financing the game beyond a simple demo, we decided then to stop the game's production.
